America is a well documented nation of immigrants.
It’s also a country in which each individual has a story to tell about their new life, and a story about the keepsakes, toys, or photos, the objects, brought when first emigrating to this new country.
Whether they came as refugees, or as students.
With support, or on their own.
Just yesterday, or many years back.
Our friends, relatives, and neighbors share a wealth of perspective from having a connection to a place apart from the United States, yet still a part of their life.
This multi-media project seeks to present individual stories from Americans featuring items that link them to their country of origin.
Some stories are clean and simple. Others are chilling and provocative.
All are worthy, and bring us to that same place……home.
